Sobani — A Desktop AI Roommate for Windows

Sobani lives on your Windows desktop—sitting on window edges, chatting through an AI provider you set up, and turning the moments you choose into editable memories. Shape the personality, import your own VRM, and make the desktop feel a little less empty.

WHAT SHE DOES

- Talks like herself. Connect the AI brain of your choice — local (Ollama) or cloud (OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini) — and her personality shapes every reply. Bring your own API key; there is no subscription in Sobani itself.

- Remembers. Conversations become memories she can bring up later.

- Keeps your promises. Ask her to remind you at 21:00, and at 21:00 she walks over to your cursor and tells you — in her own words.

- Handles your to-dos. Add tasks by chatting or directly on her board.

- Quiet company. Even when you're not talking, she's there — sitting on a window edge, minding her own rhythm.

- Becomes your character. Edit her personality, or import your own VRM model and give your character a life on your desktop.

LANGUAGES AND VOICE

- Interface and conversations: English and Japanese.

- Voice playback (VOICEVOX) currently speaks Japanese only. English conversations are text with motion and expression reactions.

REQUIREMENTS

- Windows 11 (64-bit)

- One conversation AI: Ollama (local, free, 16 GB RAM recommended) or an API key for OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini (usage billed by the provider)

- Internet access for cloud AI and model downloads

HONEST NOTES

- Character replies are generated live by the LLM you connect. Quality depends on the model you choose.

- This build is not code-signed; Windows SmartScreen may appear on first run.

- Screen-watching and PC-operation features are opt-in and visible; nothing runs without your permission.
